My husband spent decades abusing his body with alcohol, cigarettes and poor eating habits. In 2005, after a work incident amputated four fingers on his dominant hand, this behavior escalated as he tried to cope with PTSD and depression. Then, in 2018 we discovered a newly developed auto-immune disorder as his organs began to shut down and he was knocking on death’s door.

He needed to restore his health. He needed a program to follow, a process to lead him down a better path. The concept of Essentials Fitness was born out of this necessity.

I decided to utilize my Masters Degree in Fitness and Human Performance and my Precision Nutrition Coaching certification to hopefully save his life. My name is Kristin Johnson, co-founder of Essentials Fitness, and with my behavior change nutrition program combined with a simple, yet effective, exercise process my husband is living a new life.
